What shipping options do you offer?

We have a couple different options for shipping. Your puppy can be delivered by flight using pet cargo shipping or we can help you find a flight nanny. We currently do not have a private nanny. There is also the option of having your puppy delivered by our driver. His prices are very competitive. If you prefer, your always welcome to hire a person of your choosing.

Will my puppy shed?

Your puppy will shed but it shouldn't be quite as much as a normal Golden Retriever. Your puppy does have a small percentage of Poodle that should help with shedding.

What is the bell method?

Bell training your puppy is an excellent way to housetrain. I haven't personally used this method but I have heard many success stories. You simply place a bell at the door you plan to use for taking puppy to potty and use the puppy's paw to ring the bell each time you go out. After several trips out with consistent ringing of the bell, the puppy learns to ring the bell anytime it needs to go out to potty!

What training has my puppy had?

The way we set up our kennels helps puppies adjust quickly to housetraining! Most puppies go home almost trained and are fully trained in about 3 weeks or so. It does take some effort on your part when you get home but you definitely have a good head start!

What does my puppy eat?

By the time they go home all of our puppies are eating Pedigree Puppy Chow. We recommend keeping them on that diet to prevent stomach upset. If you decide to change your puppy's food, it is recommended that you mix the foods half and half for about a week to make the transition easier.

Will my puppy bite and chew?

Puppies are just like babies. They are both young and learning. They are also teething. Just like babies, they want to stick everything in their mouth! You can help deter biting by saying "Ow!" when your puppy bites or by offering a toy to distract your puppy from biting. There are many things that can be detrimental to the puppy's health such as shoes, socks, and stuffed animals. All of these things can cause stomach blockages if left lying around. Its always a good idea to "puppy proof" your home before your little one arrives!

Should I crate train my puppy?

There are many mixed reviews on crate training a puppy. Many people feel its cruel to use kennels, however many vets recommend it. If done properly, most dogs find their crate comforting. They will even go in it on their own when they feel scared or nervous. It is also very beneficial during the puppy stage when you working to house train your puppy,  for travel, having guests over, and vet trips.

Do I need a harness and if so, what size?

Harnesses are a great way to help prevent damaging pulling on the puppy's neck. A small size adjustable harness should work for bit and after their first growth spurt you can usually upgrade to another size. Amazon has lots of great options and some even come with a leash!

Does my puppy need any additional vaccines?

Our puppies will all have regular deworming's and their first set of shots. All puppies need three sets of vaccines and a rabies to be fully vaccinated. Our vet gives the puppies their first vaccine at 8 weeks. Your puppy will then need to be vaccinated again at approximately 12 weeks and 16 weeks.

Can I take my puppy to the dog park or Petsmart?

Puppies are highly susceptible to sickness and disease until they are full vaccinated. There are several illnesses that spread very quickly and are very aggressive. It is recommended that your puppy stay home, away from other dogs, until they are fully vaccinated.
